Da yong sampan~

Wheee~ Finally get my one star kayaking cert after much obstacles. Reached there rather early that day, and was having stomache early in the morning that almost spoil my day. Then serene and i went in water venture and waited for the untung guy from ODAC.

Then we registered and gt ourself each a locker, and proceed to the briefing. Just when we were abt to finish listening to our briefing by the first coach, serene and i were asked by this guy(our coach) to join another group with huayi sec. Hais, we had to listen to the briefing again.

I wasn't in a clear state of mind tt day. All the info we are supposed to take note i couldn't absorb at all.. hahaa. super stressed tt day k, suddenly got to rmb those weird terms like bow, stern, combing, shaft. etc. My mind was drowning with organic chem stuff.

After much torture listening to the briefing we finally get to move. But before that we had to secure our specs then again~ have to listen again. I just keep 'orh umm *nod nod*' to the instructions given. But when we were asked to tie it ourself using the rubber bands i stunt a bit. Hahahaaa, cos i wasn't really listening. *oops* End up had to baituo the guy to help me. I so paiseh to let him tie okay, cos serene borrowed me one of rubber hook for the specs, so now each of us had only one hook. So funny la, i tried not to laugh and get embarrassed. Super paiseh can. After that we went on to choose our life-vest and paddle. As usual, i chose the paddle that is of a shorter length and i picked a S-size life-vest. Then this guy again commented that i should get a xs one instead. -.-"

We were asked to introduce ourselves. Feel super old there with a group of sec sch kids. Just when it's my turn to introduce, this guy who turns out to be our coach-charles surprisingly know my name, ar hah! Save my trouble, i still wanted them to call me as ting for convenience sake.

Okay, I was hoping that we won't have the lesson held at the 'drain' i called it, cos it's so dirty. omg, tt's the last place i pray and pray but true enough, we are going to have lesson there. Worst, the first thing we were asked to do was to get into the water, put your head in, open your eyes and read the hand signs. *peng* I was wondering why i get myself into this. But since i'm already there, and there's no way i'm going to backout, i had to be game enough for it. Did it once with serene, luckily charles din test me. Hahas. Then we were asked to swim across the drain. Alright, i'm still fine with it cause there's a life-vest, though i swam very slow, as if i'm not moving at all. Halfway through i gave pointers to amalina, one of the huayi student cos she doesn't know how to swim, though i'm not pro myself either. LOls. Also learnt capsize drills, in fact i only did it once only. hahaa, many were asked to do the second time. Woohhoo... luckily~

Tired of typing such a long entry, k will shorten a bit. After that we had lunch with mingfeng(another coach), charles and julius. Then we return to the drain again this time learn other strokes. Yeah, that's for the first day. We had dinner together with the same people during lunch together with another coach, eugene who lives near 888. wooohoo! Drove us to east coast to have dinner, chit chat and realise our coach, charles was from evergreen sec and julius was from the same pri sch as huanhuan. So many coincidences! Orh ya, first time see someone actually manage to finish this part of a chicken wing that's sticking out so thoroughly lo. Charles was like trying to force me dissect the small little part into individual bones!*faint* Orh ya! One part of the conversation i find it super hilarious goes like this.

C: 你叫美婷,就很美meh
Me: 哼!难道如果你的名字有‘俊’,你就很英俊meh..
Eugene: pss.. Aiyoh.. 还真准!

He cuop my wallet and keep grumbing why my wallet so long and big, must have lots of money inside. Then somemore took out my IC, with my permission of course, and he took out his too. Hahaa, sure enough, his chinese is tan jun long. LOL! Oops~ I dun meant be a meanie~ He's mean to me in the first place! After dinner, hitch ride back home. So shuang.

Next morning, we hitch the ride to changi water venture again and carried on with the second day lesson. Hurray, this time at the sea! So glad we get out of the drain! Had another capsize drill there, learnt and practised rescuing. After which we were asked one by one to refine our skills. It's a pity we don't have enough time to learn stern rudder, low support recovery.etc lo.. Hais. Our group's progress is really slow~

Yesterday went back with ks to kayak for the whole day. Realise that the demargated zone for us to kayak actually very small. Oh ya, saw the coaches as well! Enjoyed the waves, the breeze, not really of the sun.

Oh, btw,
Happy 20th birthday Sherry!
